1. 2007 Trip to Guatemala:   created new desgins for 2008 w/ my artisians and visited Safe Passage again in Guatemala  city. www.safepassage.org

 My thoughts on experiencing Safe Passage's work in July, 2007.  Recently I discovered I will be able to sponsor the child that stole my heart.

 I am off to Guatemala again in August 2008 visiting a friend's beautiful fair trade coffee farm, becoming a godmother to one of my artisans' baby son, visiting Safe Passage, and working on new designs!

 

2. Coleccion Luna handbags were  the "goodie bags" at the 61st Anniversary Celebration of CARE on May 16, 2007.  Stephanie attended a dinner at Mexican Ambassador Sarukhan's home.  Her bags went to Hillary Clinton, Shelia Johnson, Mary Steenburgen and many others.

And in June 2008, our bags were once again be the "swag bags"...Stephanie  headed to DC to attend several events surrounding the celebration, including a party at the British Ambassador's home and a private dinner at the Nicaraguan Ambassador's home.

3. Coleccion Luna is proud to announce a collaboration with CARE on line of yoga bags...we will be donating 25% of sales to care projects in Guatemala, along with hosting events in Atlanta to bring awareness to the amazing work CARE does around the world to empower women.

 

4. Coleccion Luna spotted in Hollywood!  On 11/12/07 The floral lucite handle bag (CLP-024A) was on MTV'S "The Hills"

6. Stephanie is a regular lecturer at SCAD. (Savannah College of Art & Design)  She speaks to the art students in Anthropology classes about how she applies her studies of Anthropolgy in her work with the Indigenous in Guatemala.

 

7. Coleccion Luna will be at http://www.oldpecanstreetfestival.com/ in Austin, TX  September 20 & 21, 2008.

9. Stephanie is presently working on a line of organic t-shirts called "Dialogue" to help raise funds & awareness to fight the atrocities happening in Africa...the Sudan-Darfur region & the Congo...will be released in Spring, 2008 collaborating with www.care.org & www.enoughproject.org

 

10. www.buildanest.org , a non profit based in St. Louis that gives women around the world micro finance loans to start their own craft based business, has recently created a City Committe in Atlanta and Stephanie will serve as President.
