~Coleccion Luna bags were once again be the "Swag Bags" at
CARE's International Women's Day celebration in DC March 2011 going to VIP's in attendance...including Melinda Gates, Laura Bush, Judy Woodruff, Christy Turlington, and many more CARE supporters! She attended a reception at the Indian Ambassador's private residence, an intimate dinner at The Ecuadorian Ambassador's private residence, and spent a day on Capitol Hill advocating for women's & girl's rights.
~June 2011 Stephanie is off to Guatemala to work with her artisans on new product: final details on the yoga & meditation line and guitar straps...all created from reclaimed Mayan Indigenous clothing & belts! And exploring Cacao, "food of the Gods" as well as visiting water projects in impoverished communities...
~On February 24, 2011 Stephanie helped organize a fundraiser with Jackson Lewis law firm in Atlanta to benefit
CARE's work in Haiti. With Ambassador Andrew Young as the keynote speaker and one of the largest collections of Haitian art in the US...it was a huge success!
~On February 4, 2011 Stephanie brought
Enough Project's John Prendergast to speak at CARE about his 25 + years as a human rights activist working for peace in Africa & to discuss his new book
The Enough Moment, in which Stephanie is featured as an "upstander" for her work to create positive social change.
~November 2009: Stephanie went to Edinburgh, Scotland for
The British American Project. 1 of 20 US Delegates selected to attend the conference focused on "Abundance to Scarcity – Sustainability and Development in the 21st. Century”; she was humbled & honored!
~An avid yogi for more than 10 years, in October 2009, she completed her 200 hr Yoga Alliance Certified Teaching Program with
Purna Yoga, which focuses on alignment based asana, meditation & pranayama, applied philosphy, and nutrition. Her approach is that "all life is yoga" and that one must take their yoga off their mat and into their world and live life yogically...Following the path of her Dharma to create positive social change, she is excited to share in the transformation of our world through teaching yoga at
CARE HQ in Atlanta, GA as well as using it as a vehicle in her "sacred activism" with yoga retreats in Guatemala to support humanitarian organizations' work in her artisans' communities.

Sustenance Group, an Atlanta-based coalition of business professionals who contribute their time and talents to activism, nonprofit fundraising, and educational activities.
