A Bit of Exotic . . . Here at Home
By JENNIFER GREEN

Americanized versions of the Boho trend may be over, but there’s always a place for true Bohemian chic, such as the one-of-a-kind pieces designed by Atlanta-native Stephanie Jolluck, who grew up appreciating rare finds, since her parents owned an antique import business. Jolluck’s designs, called Coleccion Luna, include brightly colored handbags, pillows, table-runners, bedding and other accessories made from vibrant recycled and vintage fabrics (known as “Huipiles”) once worn as clothing by the Mayans of Guatemala.

Jolluck studied Spanish in Mexico after college (where she earned a degree in anthropology) and later volunteered on a Mayan Indian Co-op in Guatemala. She now visits the country several times a year to select textiles for her creations, and donates part of her yearly proceeds back to the villages and families she works with.

View her creations at coleccionluna.com, or see and touch them yourself at Sage Boutique in either Midtown (1745 Peachtree St., 404-815-0555) or Buckhead (37 West Paces Ferry Road, 404-233-8280). These unique and stylish pieces give a whole new meaning to the term “hand-me-downs.”
